Skype Video Stream Problems?
I was skypeing my friend last night, but I couldn't see him or myself. He said he could see me fine. I don't know about the audio, I had my microphone off and so did he. I was looking though the tools and options and shizz, and even in the video settings the stream wasn't there. I tried it with the built in cam, and with an external one, neither would work. They both work on the Camera app I've got, and they've worked perfectly fine before with other friends. I think my friend was on a phone, if that helps, and I've got the latest version.

a. Do you have issues only with online video streaming? Is the download speed good otherwise?
b. Have you updated network adapter drivers?
c. Are you using a wired or wireless connection?

If you’re using a wireless connection, try changing to a wired connection and check if the issue repeats.
If feasible, as a test, try changing your router to a different one and verify if that makes any difference with respect to online streaming.
You may also uninstall and re-install flash player and check. Update to the latest flash player if you’re using an older version. Check for updates, if any.

Make sure you have the latest network adapter (wireless network adapter drivers, in case you have a wireless connection) installed.
Visit the manufacturer’s website and check for any latest updates and install the same.
Refer the following Microsoft articles for more information on updating drivers:

Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

If you are trying to watch a streaming video using Internet Explorer, it is the website issue and is pretty much normal for the video to buffer or stop for sometime because of the bandwidth and multiple users watching the same video at the same time.

If you are trying to watch the Movie trailer via Windows Media player, you might want to check the links given below.
