Fake friend requests on facebook?

I keep getting these friend requests from fake girls on Facebook! It will consist of some picture of a hot chick and nothing else. I don't know these people, and they obviously aren't real profiles. Why do I keep getting friend requests from them? Why are they targeting me?

You could search on Facebook Friend Finder which is on the right of the facebook page when you log in. Then you can search the people who have your email address (or the people who you have on your email contacts list).
If it is someone you know and they set up an account from an email address on your contacts list, the profile will show up and you will know who it is.

If not, then you can block them by going onto you account and privacy settings and typing in their name.
