What is the "other" section for on facebook?

You know when someone you haven't added on facebook's page only shows their interests, activities, music, movies, etc? Well, there is a section just like those too, called other, and it has links to all different facebook pages. What are those, and how do they relate to the person?

those likes are just the ones that are old before facebook updated the way likes worked - they were never assigned a category when they were created, so they fall into the "other" category
