How do I delete my yahoo account?

I use ask yahoo quite a bit but I'm worried. When I type my name into google my yahoo profile pops up and shows the questions I've asked, and some of them are not appropriate. I'm going to be doing job interviews soon and I don't want these questions popping up when they search for me on google. I already made my profile private and changed all the contact info for my profile but when I search my name the yahoo thing still shows up. How can I delete my account and get rid of this?

Please read carefully and print or save any important messages or contact information before deleting your account. Be sure to update your Facebook, twitter, instagram, online gaming and any other sites that you have registered with this Yahoo ID.

Please note: Deleting your Yahoo account will not delete your questions and answers. Once a question becomes Reference or In Voting the question and all its answers instantly becomes property of Yahoo and will remain on the site available for browsing and viewing.

Your Yahoo Profile page may be private but your questions and answers list is still public. You can hide your Yahoo Answers QnA page:

Click Answers Home at the top of the list on the left side
Click the wrench icon
Under Sharing & Network, choose Share my QnA with Whom I follow or Share my QnA with Whom I follow and my followers

The only sure way to delete all your content is if you violate the guidelines for acceptable avatar images or user names but Yahoo will not only suspend your Yahoo Answers account but they will suspend the email address you used to access Y!A too.

You can change the name that appears on your Yahoo Profile page. First, you will need to make your Profile page visible:

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/
Click the wrench icon in the upper-right corner (Settings)
Click Profile Privacy
Click the second toggle so the message next to it reads, "Your profile is currently visible"
Go back to your Profile page, place your cursor at the begining or end of your name, left-click and hold as you pass your cursor over your name to highlight it and delete. Now you can change your name.
