do you care how many people that are your friends on facebook?

like 200+ friends = your cool
-100 friends and your "geekish"

do you even care? i mean i don't care if i have 50 people on my profile.. as long as i know them i'm fine.. but my friends have like 200+ people and i'm 80% sure they haven't even talked to them yet, only just seeing each other past the hall at school

I think facebook sucks and distracts you from your work. Friends in facebook tend to be only internet marketers

I always worry that people will think I'm creepy if I only have a handful of friends on there. Believe me, I am still learning that Facebook doesn't reflect life.

For instance, my ex-friend always writes status updates about how happy she is and how great the guy she is dating is, she also has almost a thousand friends.

However, I know her in reality -- we were best friends for like ten years. Most of the people who are her "friends" on FB are people who would never talk to us in high school -- but I guess she feels like they accept her now because they added her on FB. I think it's insecurity that makes us feel like we have to show that we have lots of friends.

I often delete people when I get too many because I realize A) I will never talk to some of these people ever again or B) I don't know these people and we have NOTHING in common.

I mean, really, what's the point of having 1,000 or so friends on Facebook if they aren't really your friends?

If you have one or two friends on there that you actually know and like, then I think that's good enough. I don't care about having lots of fake "friends" on Facebook. It has no value in real life and most people know that there is no way that anyone has 200 or 300 real friends.

Don't feel bad or geeky, most people are only really concerned with their own Facebook profile and aren't criticizing others as badly as they criticize themselves

I think it's dumb when you add people you don't even know. One of my friends has over 1000, but that's because she'll add anyone that goes to our school. People shouldn't judge you by the amount of facebook friends you have. I have 240 (which may seem like a lot) but most people in my school have anywhere from 200-700. I'm sure in a few years I'll go through and wonder who some of those people are
