Why do people keep blaming "today's" society?
hasn't society in general always been bad? i remember my grandpa saying that he's disappointed about my dad's generation (who's born in 1963 btw) i remember 8 years ago, racism and bullying was far worse than it was today.

i don't think it's the bullying/racism he dislikes, more of the lack or morality or sense of responsibility a lot of kids have nowadays.

Every generation blames every generation. This is nothing new. You will hear "we need to go back to the OLD MURRICCAAA." Yeah, well that old America had 2 world wars, Vietnam, segregation, no women's rights, the great depression, major political scandals, and some of the poorest people ever to be in this country, legal cocaine, legal heroin, people throwing sewage and trash in the streets etc etc etc.. So do as the educated do, let people ***** and ignore it.

Because weak minded people have nothing else to blame because their in denial that its their fault and they are responsible.

There has always been bad in every generation, but to say that things are better now than they used to be is completely wrong. Do you live under a rock? Look at how screwed up "today's" society is. Look at how dysfunctional and unsafe the world is now compared to say, the 50's for instance. In today's world, school shootings are an epidemic and so is teen suicide. This was not a problem in the 50's. It started in the 90's with the Columbine shooting and now ever since, it's been an epidemic. It's sadly becoming common.

Look at how everything has to be monitored with high security, like the airports. We're constantly having to be on alert about school shootings, and horrible tragedies occurring like 911, the Boston Bombing. Back in the 50's, it wasn't uncommon for people to leave their front doors to their houses unlocked, their car doors unlocked, for children to walk to and from school without having to be worried about abduction. It was just generally a safer time. And not to mention the problems with social media and the internet.. How many suicides have occurred amongst generally young people due to internet bullying? And have you ever heard of the show "How to Catch a Predator"? The internet is a breeding ground for sexual predators and child molesters, and now more than ever, kids are running wild on the internet talking to strangers and meeting up with them, all the while their parents being completely oblivious to the dangers their children are putting themselves in, because they're so busy with their fast paced life that TODAYS SOCIETY has created. Living a simple life pretty much doesn't exist anymore. People live much more fast paced demanding lives now as opposed to how it used to be. In the 50's, you could only have a high school diploma and still making a good living. Now, its extremely hard for people with college degrees to make a good living! All of this pressure puts a lot on people and it it's starting to show. People are losing their minds.

Children are obsessed with growing up too fast these days. Television and the social media constantly glorify sex and values are morals are becoming very rare, which definitely contributing to today's society.
Was everything I just mentioned a huge problem in the 40's and 50's? No, morals and values were more important back then.
Yes, there was racism and bullying back then, but if you really think about it and compare it to today's world, it was much safer then, than it is now.
