why is twitter such a big deal?

How is letting the world know that you're eating a sandwich or taking the bus home so important or exciting??

How is it sooo cool to let everyone know all the boring details about you, to basically let all your privacy just out there for absolutely no reason? It's like texting except universally.

I don't get it, its so pointless

it's like if someone deletes their twitter account its on the news or something, wtf?

are you earning money when you have it? what is the big frickin deal behind it?

to me it just sounds so stupid, overrated and useless

I know, most people don't even tweet. They just follow famous people and they get their tweets sent to their phones to find out what they're up to. I guess the big deal with Twitter is because so many famous people use it and everyone joins it to follow their favorite celebrities.

yeah i have one it is pretty stupid.... its stupider then facebook.. cause all you can do on twitter is update your status and stalk people.. uh thats not fun in my opinion

I read twitter posts from people with similar interests (e.g. online learning) and pick up all sorts of interesting ideas and articles to read - twitter makes it really easy to spread these ideasby writing to one place

As a communication tool, it is very valuable and interesting, and used for so many more valuable things than celebrity gossip or people telling you they are on the toilet!

It's such a big deal because of the fact most celebrities use it - you know how everyone wants to do what they do
It's also advertised on almost daily on almost any broadcast station (TV, radio, internet, etc.)

I personally think it's stupid and an easy way to stalk people.

It sounds stupid to me too, I wont bother with it.. I think it's a site for arrogant people. The world doesn't care that you're currently brushing your teeth or wiping your butt or watching a movie. ..Why feel the need to join a site just to inform everyone of every move you make.
