Is it important for teens to have a social life?
I'm 16 and I'm not saying I don't have any friends or anything, I do. It's just that most of the other kids around me are partying, which I mostly see from their Facebook posts and stuff. I don't do any of that because honestly I am quite a reserved person. I do occasionally hang out with friends, but no where near as much as some others. So just wondering is it weird for me not to be out there partying or am I not missing out on much at all?

Swat I, it is absolutely essential that as a teenager you have a solid group of friends. But by no means should you ever feel that your peers must have a better life because they're always out partying. You'll have plenty of time for all of that when you're in your adulthood. Knuckle down, get a good education, enjoy the friends that you have and do what ever you want when you're older. Believe me, you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there Smile

It is absolutely important that you socialize with friends, you learn the art of interaction and groom yourself for the world as an adult. Besides the friends of today will be your contemporaries in the adult world, they will help and aid you in your career.
Socializing is not all about partying, it is about hanging out with friends exchanging ideas and doing fun things together.
