How can we help the people in Iran?

"I realize now I do not fear death. I fear my daughter will not be free when I die."

These are the words posted by an Iranian man on Twitter, and I believe they sum up the events of the past few days. Freedom does not exsist in Iran right now, thanks to the Ayatollah and Ahmadinejad. The election was obviously rigged. In one part of Iran 140% of the population supposedly voted. Let's say 100 people live in that place. That means 40 people that don't exsist voted. Suuuure. Now, people are being beaten, shot at, arrested - all because they fight for freedom. Helicopters are dropping some sort of weird liquid - possibly acid or boiling water - on the protestors that is burning their skin off.

I am an in America. How can I help? How can I let Ahmadinejad see that we will not stand by and watch a massacre of innocent people engaged in peaceful protest?

You can't do anything except maybe show support. I dont know how twitter works so if you can send them a message just say people in america are praying for you or something like that. The american people cna show support its just not wise for our president to speak out about it.

If you want to help Iranians, give them anti filter programs. Anti filter programs are the most needed thing in Iran. Mobile phones and SMS services are disconnected, foreigner reporters are forced to leave Iran, all the medias are banned, all the connecting ways of Iranians online are blocked. We have very few ways to exchange news and send news to the out side and making our voice heard.
