Need advice please, how do I get over ex from 4 years ago?

I really like my ex I felt like we had a lot in common but we only lasted a short amount of time. The breakup was bad, he avoided me and said he didn't want to be with me because his friends didn't like me and apparently I was ugly and not good enough. I broke up and he moved on. Four years later he added me on Facebook but doesn't talk to me and has a new gf. I heard bad rumors about him but he is successful. I've dated other but I can't get over him... I don't even know why I care for him. Any advice?

Hi Lilac, I remember a few of your posts from the last time I was on (A few years ago lol). Delete his facebook and stay away from him. No matter how bad the break up was, what he said was really cruel and uncalled for, and what kind of guy dumps his girl because his friends don't like them? He's a coward and a liar. I'm sure his friends weren't the problem, another girl was. You need to take time for yourself and develop a standard that defines what you want in a relationship. It's hard I know, but you gotta do it for your own sanity.
