Blogging Questionnn..?
Ok soo, im 13. Yes, I know it's really young, but i get bored alot, and i just feel like telling people about my life. I also know that it would be a HUGE waste of my time, because im sure nobody would read it, since it would just be a random little thing about some little girls liife. but im bored Tongue
do you think it's a good idea?
can 13-year olds even make blogs?
is it free?

Thanks in advance!!
umm.. for what the third answer-er said:
I wouldn't be blogging about personal things in my life, just like, what i did today or whatever. Smile

I'm pretty sure there isn't an age limit on blogging. Check out Blogger.com or WordPress.com. They're both free and have privacy settings. Twitter is also free, but its not like blogging in the original sense of the word. Good luck blogging!

*I'm sure you already know this, but you should tell your parents before blogging.

Ok then... a couple of issues here.

1. It's legal.
2. It's free.

Bigger question: Should you do it?

If you are a 13 year old who needs attention, it's healthier to get it from home. If you really are just bored and want to have some fun on the internet, maybe learn a few things about design, then do it.

Next issue: Security

Be very careful about what you post. Never post your real last name, address, zip code, and such. I would ask your legal guardian for permission and he/she can discuss with you what or what not to put up.

Lastly, if you really want to do this, visit http://www.livejournal.com/ . I hope you make the right decision for yourself.

Consider opening a Twitter account- it's perfect for what you said you you would use it for. I also think it provides a little more privacy than a blog, because you can adjust the privacy settings on your account. As far as I'm aware, Twitter is free.

I don't think it'd be a waste of your time at all! Writing is very healthy and who cares if anyone reads it? You could make your blog private if you'd prefer to not have it out for anyone to see. Rambling is great and you can get comments from your readers (most likely start with family) - you can also set your settings to make it so you see every comment before its published and you decide if it will be or not.

Of course there's the creepy side of life that hinders us all a bit. Don't share anything you don't want your future employer to know or future friends. Don't use any real info when signing up, they don't need your real birthday or name to set up a free blogger account. Just know what you put on there in case you need your login info. Set up a dummy Google account with the same fake info and use that as your log in - Helps making tracing you harder.

Don't post photos that you wouldn't happily show your grandma or future employer - technology moves so fast that no matter what you do I'm sure soon enough even the private stuff will be public.

Back to the fun part - Have Fun!!! Go to http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/f...ounds.html to see a ton of fun free backgrounds and banners you can use.

Be safe, your more important then you'll ever know.
