How to reset facebook privacy settings?

Facebook is so confusing with so many links and different pages to have to suss out privacy settings.

I want to hide pretty much everything from people that aren't my friends, but show everything once I approve their friendship.

I can't find any of the links (and I'm pretty tech savvy) when i click 'view as' on my profile, from the public eye people can see my profile photos, which i don't want, but when i view as a friend, no one can see ANY of my tagged photos? (when i have 100's of them from friends and clubs and stuff) people that have tagged me in their photos can't even see what I'm tagged in.

Someone help! Facebook is so annoying.

Go to your privacy settings page and change everything to Friends. Each of the sections have areas that need to be changed.
