Ok. I use Google Chrome and Google for searching.
I played World of warcraft, I'm an artist, and I have talked about my pregnancy and daughter on facebook.
So all the ads I see are for MMO Games, Art Schools and Pregnancy websites...

I don't want google to know all this stuff about me, and remember it. I already cleared all the history, cache, cookies and stuff, but it still remembers

I want all my ads to be random, like some of them are, Capital One Credit Card, The movies coming out soon, stuff like that...

While Facebook ads can target interests found on your profile, I have not heard of other advertisers scraping information from your posts.

"Ad Retargeting" is pretty commonly used, if you have visited an art school site it sets an anonymous cookie in your browser that causes their ads to be shown to you, I would think clearing your cookies would have eliminate some if these (as well as wiping out some site shortcuts) You may be able to opt out of some of these retargeted ads, try clicking the Adchoice in the upper right of some ads to see if you have options, this screen is different depending on the advertiser.

More typically the ads are simply matched to the content of pages that you visit.
