will facebook track my ip?
ok, I made a fake facebook account, the name I had was the name of a person I know, that person is 2 months old. and in the middle of the name, I put a curse word, now the baby's father is trying to find out who made it, hes gonna contact facebook for the IP address... I live in the UK, and the father lives in Pakistan, so, is facebook ALLOWED to give my IP address, because NO CRIME was committed. I just created an account with the baby's name and put a swear word in the middle. also, the email address I used has nothing to do with me, so any ideas?

Why did you make the fake account anyway?

& yes i believe facebook can track IP Addresses, for online bullying purposes i think they track IP addresses and if they don't then they will probably just delete your account if it is against their guidelines

Facebook can track IP addresses, but I believe they can only give the information to law enforcement officials. If your uncle wanted to pursue this matter, he can go to the authorities and they will get the paperwork needed to get your identity.

How did your uncle even find this page? BTW...yes, a crime was committed. It's called identity theft.

This was a very stupid thing to do and the really sad part is that what you did makes no sense. Why would you do this to a baby...or the baby's parents? You are a very nasty child.

Facebook keeps track of all of the IP addresses that log onto accounts to prevent fraud and spam. Facebook could block you, but you haven't committed any crime so you don't have to worry about black helicopters.
