Which is a better laptop?

I am looking for a budget laptop to replace my current Dell Inspiron 1525 that I've had for nearly 6 years.
I'm trying to decide between these 2:

Acer - Aspire V5 Series 15.6" Laptop - 4GB Memory - 500GB Hard Drive Model: NX.M1GAA.005

and

Toshiba Satellite 15.6" Laptop - 4G Memory C50-ABT3N12

Both are Intel Celeron processors, which I know isn't top of the line, but it has been sufficient in my Dell.

Both have Windows 7 which is what I NEED.

I've heard good and bad things about both!

What I need it for is basically just surfing the web, social media, email, Yahoo IM and groups. Maybe occasionally streaming netflix or watching Youtube etc.

I always have it plugged in, so I'm not searching for a long battery life, and I never take it anywhere. I don't play games other than those on facebook (Candy Crush, Angry Birds).
It's mainly just for home use, so I'm looking for a basic computer that I can store digital photos and my Itunes library.
I have a small budget, but I also don't want it to die after a couple years!
Any other laptop suggestions are appreciated too! I'm shying away from Dell, even though I've had decent luck in the past. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! I've NEVER had a good experience with them and I've had Dell computers for the past 13 years!

I've had both brands and I strongly recommend you getting away from Toshiba, from my experience, it has a lot of issues comparing to other brands. Good luck.

Acer its pretty much the same but the acer has a bigger hardrive

I mind that Acer - Aspire V5 Series 15.6" Laptop is better than Toshiba Satellite 15.6" Laptop. But i use Compaq cq43 laptop and i comfortable for it.
