my mate merged his face in a billboard advertisement on his picture on facebook. How did he do it?

My friend had his face merged on several advertisements including the london paper, nescafe billboard, and street posters. Would like to know how he did it as he wont share with me. Though he says its an edit. Obviously, but how to do it?

I'd really appreciate anyone who know hows to do this.

its called photoshop dude any good photo editing software can do this even miscrosoft paint! come on now

Such a picture is 'shopped. In general, this is done with Photoshop.

However, there are more and more apps on FB that tinker with our avatars, so it could be one of those. However, apps that do that usually make it known what app did it.
