Facebook android app problem?

I just bought the samsung gravity smart today and everytime I click the facebook app, it opens the android market app. I installed the latest update, but it still does it....how do I fix this?
I have already set up my gmail account with my android and I have already downloaded facebook. I can get on face book, but it just won't open automatically when I click the facebook app. I have to click it, and then it takes me to the android market, and then I have to search the facebook app and click open.

make sure you are sign up with a gmail account to use the market,then click on facebook and download it. Facebook app have been having a lot of problems lately. not only on android phones,but also on iphone. its a crap on my iphone. she it may not be your phone just the app it self.
