How can I recover my hijacked Facebook fan page?

My facebook fan page, which I created (and which had about 1,450 likes) was hacked, and taken over by a group of hackers from another country, who have now proceeded to post as if they were me. They have hijacked my facebook, and are holding it for ransom.

My page was one of about 1,000 that was affected by this problem. Due to the issue of the hackers' location, legal confrontation is pretty much out of the question. I have contacted Facebook numerous times, and gotten the same response that "they can't make administrative changes to pages due to Facebook policy."

I'd prefer not to have to delete the page, and lose all of my followers. Is there a way to find out the current "owner" of the facebook page? Or, in other words (technically legally or illegally), regain control of my Facebook page? Because Facebook has been extremely unhelpful in that regard.

This is a job for which I'd be willing to pay.
