A question for programmers/web developers ONLY!?

Okay i plan on creating a platform which allows musicicians to market themselves,however, i don't know anyone who knows how to program , so i have decided i will have no founders for the company im creating as yet for now i will create this website alone. And i was doing research as i discover alot of people seek out thousands of dollar to create their websites even up to a million. Take facebook for an example, when it first started out an angel founded them for 5million.So my question is does it cost so much money to create an interactive website like facebook? hint im not trying to copy facebook it was an example.

Cost depends on complexity.

You could have something quite sophisticated with an experienced programmer working for several months. The 5m angel funding for Facebook would not have been just for the programming. Rent, servers, marketing, advertising, wages, legal fees,... You get the picture.
