Hi, regarding your questions:
1. A retweet is a tweet from someone else that you share with your followers. You re-tweet the message of that person. 2. This is called an @-message and it is a tweet that is directed towars the person that stands behind the @. You can do this by either typing "@TwitterUserName" or by clicking "Answer this" on the tweet of that person. 3. You follow people that you find interesting and people will follow you if they find your tweets interesting. Once you follow a person you will see all his status updates (tweets) and the people that are following you will see your status updates. Ads |

To answer your question:
1. A retweet is a repost of a twitter message. People do it because they think that someone's post is worthy of being shared to others. Still, you need to be careful with this feature as you don't want to annoy people with your retweet. Read my source below on when this habit becomes a 'crime' (metaphor) 2. @username means you are replying to a specific person and in your example above, someone's replying to michelle. Facebook and Twitter are different platforms so one thing doesn't work on another. 3. Following means people ( or in twitter lingo, tweeple ) you follow on Twitter. You simply click on a user's twitter page and click on the follow button to put him/her in your following list. Follower means people who followed you. Also, see the link to the twitter guide book on my source. |
