Guys i need help trying to figure out if this guy really likes me or not?

i need to know so I can move on..we have 9737 message between each other through Facebook...he has told me about a girl he likes-but he mostly speaks negatively of her-shes driving him nuts...she has weird behavior or "changing her profile pictures" something of it being related to him..but I say her picture recently-(I never really cared) she doesn't have much! he made it sound like she did it alot...he helps me, encourages me-never said anything offensive to me-just tries to point me right subtlety...out of curiosity I asked him about this guy who keeps stealing glances at me-and told him it was freaking me out--(it was HIM) he said he doesn't know..then he said maybe he likes you but doesn't know how to start things...then he asked me-WAIT HOW DOES HE LOOK LIKE?...he gave me a time management cd he made himself-when kept mentioning that I was behind in college...but I'm confused I can't really tell if he likes her or ME? if you guys want more details just ask specifically and I'm more than happy yo tell you guys..i already sad we got like 9737 msgs-so I don't know WHERE TO START...just please help me figure if its me or her...:/
he also says "you deserve the best"---he said it a few times-most recently-yesterday..
do u guys think hes MORE THAN A FRIEND...my friend even agrees hes somewhat strange...hes honestly driving me crazy
the girl is a crush NOT GF
long story short: I like a guy...he told me he likes a girl-but I just found out the girl-is probably a lie...he said that her and her friend make fun of him-and make it so that only he understands...i know the other girl's brothers..one said that her and his sis are good and nice...i believe my old school classmate more than the guy I like (my high school classmate was a nice guy)-who I don't even know much about...WHY IS HE TELLING LIES...this issue has officially turned me off because I hate liars and fake people...is he a psycho? I need opinions help!

this guys is pretty strange i agree with your friend , that's confusing... i mean if he likes you and then invented these fake stories about an other girl as to make you jealous or something... that's pretty dump, but a few guys/girls do that anyway, trying to dig a sign from there crush.
but then he did a lot for you and supported you, i'm sorry i can't give an assured answer but i'd say there is chances that he likes you, EDIT : but if the crush thing is true then you are just a friend.
