How to gain twitter followers quickly?

I used to gain twitter followers sooo fast. On average I used to get about 20 followers a day. Now, two years later, I havent gained hardly any followers and in fact, Im finding it hard to keep the ones I have. How can I get back to gaining more followers like I was before?

You just need to try to find a type of personality to relate to, whether it be comedy, reality, news, etc. and then stick to that. You can try to participate into the popular tags and trending tags to get more views, and get people to re tweet you.
