Facebook Notifications on iOS 5?

If I turn off email notifications on my Facebook account through Facebook, will iOS 5 still give me a Facebook notification. The question is posed, because I want iOS 5 notifications from Facebook. I don't want 1000's of emails from Facebook.

Yes it will, it will show messages and comments, I dont know about likes though.

I am having issues with this. I bought the iPhone 4S and as you know came with iOS 5 already. Well, I am not getting any Facebook notifications through my fb app. And yes, I do have my fb notification turned on, as well as other apps. The notifications form all other apps installed on my iPhone work just fine, but not for fb and this is so frustrating. The only way I can find out is by going to fb and changing my settings to get notifications by e-mail (which is so annoying).

Does anyone which party is at fault for this, is it Apple or is it Facebook, or neither? Anyway, I really don't care who is to blame, I just want a solution. Does anyone know a fix to this issue?
