why get an app on your iphone/itouch when you can just go on the internet?

Hey, just out of curiosity, I was wondering why people bother getting apps like the facebook app or whatever on their iphone/itouch when they can just use the internet function to get on facebook? like why bother getting the app? am I missing something? like is it more secure or something to go through the app?

I think the app has a better interface and it is easier to go around in the app then in their browser

People get the apps for their iphone/itouch because, basically you can't lug a computer/laptop around everywhere. Well you could but it would be very inconvenient. When you have an app on your phone it allows someone to check their facebook, bank account, email etc on go if they are a busy person or not near a computer.

Apps make everything easier on the iPod touch. Simply put it, the Facebook APP works better than actually going on Facebook through Safari.

its just much easier to use an app and the layout is better on the app than the internet
