i think i obsess about some people ( maybe not an obsession but i am sure it is more than admiration)?
so i think i obsess about some people that i happen to find intersting, i start to think about them very much and imagine conversations or situsations in wich they participate and i start wanting to be friends with them and wanting to talk to them and get to know them and tell them what i think about and l start cheking their facebook wall and pictures and stuff like that.
i have felt that twice before and a week ago i started to feel it towards a new person.
the first person i felt that about was already a good friend but i wanted to get closer to her and she is now my bestfriend and i am not osbessive about her anymore at all and my friendship with her isnt unhealthy or anything.
and the second, we are becoming becoming good friends now so the feeling is calming down.
so i am just feeling wierd why do i have such feelings about people? is this admiration or obsessive behavior? or just somthing above admiration but inferior to obsession?
thank you in advance

I'm a teenager as well and I think I may know what you're talking about, if I may, you might just be envious in not a bad way, and your mind wants to make you feel bad about it for whatever reason, it's pretty much just admiration

I don't think that 'obsession' is the correct word for this situation. in fact I don't think that the correct word exists. I also happen to think that the condition only affects people of a certain type.
I think that for this condition to apply you will probably be a quiet person, not one who runs around with a rowdy crowd. You pleasures are lone pleasures, so personally intense that they are not the sort that can be shared very well as a group activity. Friendships are very special to you and not to be lightly regarded. You spell friend with a capital F, The rest of them you regard, with great respect, as acquaintances.
Therefore when you meet someone who fulfils your strict criteria, you have given the matter considerable thought, and having considered all the pro's and con's have arrived at the conclusion that this person is just about perfect.
Actually this feeling is very much in error, for perfect in this world just doesn't exist. However, its a wonderful feeling to meet someone who is just about as perfect as you are ever likely to get.
Your never likely to meet very many folk like this, and its perfectly natural to regard them as super special.
If 'obsession' is the correct word, then there should be more of it, for its very beautiful, for nothing as lovely as this can ever be wrong. As long as it includes that element of respect, then the 'sufferer' is a very lucky person indeed.

Curiosity, there's nothing wrong with it and it's natural. There's something about them that captures your interest and with the help of facebook etc you can find out everything without them even knowing. I think the word you are looking for is "crush" which is pretty harmless and fun way of feeling all the stuff you would if you were in a relationship only it's a practice run. You don't fancy them as such it's just they have something about them that either makes you want to be/like/with them for a little while. Enjoy it while it lasts the inital rush is the best bit.
