adding teachers on facebook?

Hi I was wondering if it is legal to add teachers on facebook if you are not in the same state anymore. I moved this year from california to the east coast and I miss some of my teachers back home. So is it illegal to add them at this point? I'm not out of high school yet. I was just curious if it is still illegal to add them since all of them are all the way across the country now. Thx.

I have about 3 of my teachers facebook and 1 of my teachers phone numbers and they still teach at my school currently. As long as it's not for sexual contact then it is not illegal. I just text my teacher if she needs help with anything because I aid for her class.
