How do anime instagram accouts get to be so popular?

Some other anime accounts get to be really popular, do you know how so? I want to really grow and expand my account.

I once had manga instagram but deactivated because i have a instagram thats about this Japanese group and i have 1677 followers (not enough) but what i do is i use many types of apps and collages to make the picture interesting,.. not simple boring picture you see every where and you can also use has tags!
hash tags are the best thing to do.. since if you put hash tags many people would like look at your pictures and like it and maybe go to your profile and follows you!

you can use hash tags like #anime #manga #japaneseanime
many hashtags as you can that involves anime! (:
do as many as you can btw!

things i do:
make a slide show using picture and musics
videos and music
edited pictures
use hash tags
post picture daily

get a shoutout from anime account that has more followers then you do so their followers will follow you as well! (:
