Do you ever feel that we live in a world that is manipulated and that events like stock market crashes, wars, revolutions etc are not random events but carefully thought out strategies to control the world?

Are our life styles and education system all geared to make us slaves of the system.

Are social networking sites like facebook just tools to keep a tab on us?

Are we for lack of a better reference living in the 'Matrix' a world that has been pulled over our eyes to keep us from knowing the truth?

The government feeds us lies everyday, giving us disinformation and controlling everything. The truth is what they say it is. Things like biological warfare and people disappearing. If someone knew something the CIA would kill that person. If a virus broke out the government would bomb the place and blame it on some stupid nuclear meltdown. We are all puppets blindfolded and made to believe certain things. We have to follow laws but the government are above everything.

No. I honestly believe that the people who run things are simply not intelligent enough to manipulate the world on such a grand scale. If they were, they wouldn't be so paranoid. Lifestyles are the way they are because we've accepted it, we can't blame anyone else. The education system fails to do anything more than make the stats look good. Computers are hailed as some form of infallible supergod, when they are nothing more than tools which allow most people to a) stop thinking, and b) divert responsibility away from themselves. We're a primitive species with delusions of grandeur and a serious superiority complex. The sooner we all wake up and accept actual reality, the better. Though I feel we're going to be forced into it rather than do it voluntarily.

What seems random is anything but. If you understand human psychology and influence the key influencers you control enough to appear to not do anything but control reality - everything. This is the human Thought Matrix.

On the level of politics and the economy, I agree with you. There is a large degree of manipulation and control. But for the other aspects... life styles, education, social networking, etc. I think those are random phases that society goes through. During the 60s, 70s, and 80s the USA was academically in the fore front while third world countries such as China and India, the education system was practically non existence at the time. Today, the USA is 13th on the list of academical intelligence, while China and India are very near the top of the list.

I don't think anyone is controlling that. It is a phase that the people of each society is going through. Americans feel that education is not important while the Chinese and Indians feel that it is. In 50 years from now, that will change if the people's values change.
