Should I create an author facebook page?

I have had some moderate success as a short story author and hopefully my novel will be coming out soon.

One of the markets publishing my worked asked if I had a website. I don't have a website, but I found that a Facebook page can be considered a website too.

How can I make a page for myself without seeming pompace. I always found it very arrogant whenever my friends create a facebook page for whatever business they are trying to get into. How can I avoid this?

Any suggestions?

Yes Go And Create a Facebook page you Dont Need a Another Account For this To Set this Up On your Facebook Account that you Already Have Go Here http://www.facebook.com/pages Click on Create a Page Than Choose the Category type in the Name Hit that you Agree to the Terms than Click on Create Page
