Does Facebook know whose profile you look at?

I was just wondering if anyone knew why this happens: So basically there's this guy whose profile I look at on Facebook a lot. And I noticed that he started showing up in my news feed thing a lot. For example under highlights half of them are his. Also, when I type either the first or last letter of his name he comes up as the first person on that little drop down menu. It isn't in alphabetical order, and it also isn't by network. So basically, does Facebook do this on purpose? I have never once written on his wall or sent him a message or anything.

There is no way facebook can tell who seen who's profile. facebook does not support the function to do that.
