Been on VF for a while and still these questions remain unanswered.

Firstly, is it possible to tell if you have been blocked? If this is the case, do others know you have blocked them?

What in God's name are props?

Sometimes, in the chat, messages do no appear in the box or vanish altogether, even after clearly being sent. What's this all about?

Can you see if people have visited your profile or vice versa?

What are cult invites exactly? Their purpose and all that jazz?

I'm just hoping to clear up some things and these have been bugging me for a while!

Ok first you cannot tell if you have been blocked or not, which is one of the purposes of blocking. Props are like "likes" are on facebook. As far as the chat thing goes it's probably just buggy and might eventually be fixed. The only way you can see if anyone has visited your profile is if you pay for the premium membership, but it is possible. Cult invites are a way to invite people to join your VF cult, which are like forums. You send those out through the cult itself.
