Hi Adel.

The aims and obvjectives of a social media strategy should be in-line with the aims and objectives of your business.

In most cases of course the aim is to get more custom or build your brand recognition. Having a successful social media account can also build a lot of credibility, or you could just aim to use your accounts as a way to keep your existing customers updated.

So basically, start by deciding what YOU want out of social media and then decide how to go about that.

Just focusing on 2 social platforms is a good ideas; but knowing which platforms you are using doesn't constitute a social media strategy. You need to think about things like:

How often will you post?
What will you post?
How will you build a following?
How often (if ever) will you make promotional posts?

Broadly speaking there are two primary traffic strategies. You can try to build a following within each social media platform with the intention of eventually directing that traffic to your website. Or you can direct existing website traffic to your social accounts with the intention of better engaging your existing users... Or a bit of both.

Again, which of these you do and to what extent depends on what YOU want to achieve with your social campaign.

The aims and objectives of your social campaign must be in line with your marketing communication objectives and the goals you are planning to achieve by using the social medium.

For example
It can creating brand awareness or increasing the impact of brand to drive more donations to the charity and so on. Your short messages must be crafted accordingly which reach out and appeal to a larger audience via Twitter and Facebook that can drive more value to your overall campaign thus making it more successful.

What you should be concentrating on is reaching your target audience. You should also employ linkedIn and sites like Tumblr etc. Just using Faceook and Twitter won't solve your purpose. You should understand social media in detail first before taking the plunge.
