Facebook question on iviting "friends".?

Do you invite only people you know to become friends in Facebook, or people you also think may be interesting to meet. I recently met up with a couple of friend in highschool. They are friends with a few classmates I knew but not well. I'm not even sure they remember me other for being some guys girlfriend and I'm not about to mention that now. Can I invite them as friends or will it seem stupid?

i think that you should invite them. i am friends with people i've never met on facebook. (they're friends with my siblings or they go to my school, not just random people) facebook is a place where you can reconnect with people and meet new people. it will not seem stupid so don't even worry about it.
