can u delete friends from facebook?

im new to facebook
how do u delete friends
or is it even possible?

Login.
Click the "Friends" tab at the very top.
A list of your current friends will populate the screen, each one has a sort-of hard to see "X" next to it. Click the X and facebook will be like
"are you sure you wish to do this? They will not be notified." and then click yes and boom.

Friend Deleted.

The easiest way to do this is to go to their profile, scroll down to the bottom of it, and at the bottom of the screen, there’s an information bar. At the left, there will be a slightly gray-ed out saying of “Facebook © 2008”, then the language indicator. Above that, there’ll be a box that says “Share” with a little positive sign next to it. Immediately above that it says “Remove from Friends”. That’s always the fastest and most reliable way to remove a friend. Click it, then a pop-up will say, “Are you sure you want to remove [your friend’s name here] as your friend?” Say, “Remove friend” or “Cancel” if you have a change of heart. Haha.
