Android vs iOS, what phone is best for me?
I am looking into getting a new phone, but I don't have a lot of money. The phone I currently have is a Nokia Lumia 520 I got for $100, and I hate it. There are NO apps and it will do annoying things like stop halfway through a video and say it cannot play the file type. It doesn't have a camera on the front, the home buttons annoyingly vibrate whenever you hit them and then still don't work half the time. The camera button on the side doesn't work and I can't type worth anything on it. And apps like Facebook wont go landscape so I REALLY can't type on those.
I want to solve as many of these dilemmas and annoyances as possible with my new phone. A full physical keyboard would be nice, both facing cameras, and either android or iOS. I heard somewhere androids will play live streams, like YouNow? That'd be awesome. I do not have internet at home so pretty much all of my online stuff is done on my phone so the more cool internet stuff like that it can do the better. I also would like to be able to just take the AT&T micro SIM card out of this Lumia and put it in my new phone. I found one on AT&T's website, a NEC Terrain I believe it was called, but I don't know if that would work, and it seemed really expensive. And it was a contract phone, I'm on a GoPhone and want to stay that way, but AT&T had an ad a while ago that they could turn any phone into a GoPhone so.... Any help or suggestions are appreciated Smile

oh also, if I found a phone with an old version of the android OS, would I still be able to run the latest apps on it? My iPod touch is a 2nd Gen and I can't get any apps on it. Don't want that to happen with my phone.

Thanks!!

wow, OK here we go.

you seem to be budget minded.....and you need an unlocked GSM phone.
so i am going to suggest the Google Nexus 5.....its $350 off contract, unlocked (that is a phenominal price...iPhone 5S's are $650 off contract)
its a top end phone and runs the latest version of android and will run the latest version for at least 2 years.
next up is the Motorola Moto G....its $180 off contract, has some decent specs, a nice screen and runs the latest version of android.

as for the older phone, as long as it is 4.0 or later, you should be fine. more and more apps are 4.0 and later only. but if you are running 2.3 or older, you may have a hard time finding apps that work.
