what is the best laptop brand?
I want to buy 3 laptops for me and my family. I want them all to be of the same brand. We all have different things we do with the laptop, so for now I first want to know, what is the best brand in general?

Try lenovo. As you said you all do different things, lenovo has a line of around 10 types of computers like gaming, advanced computing.. basic computing, business, touch computer. If you don't like lenovo, try asus too.

first decide if u want windows, apple or linux

if u go for windows then basically hp, lg, sony, asus, dell, lenovo are all the same. just pick ones which have needed specs. if u have a fav brand then go for it

if u want a laptop for gaming then asus and dell alienware are ok. it's best to use a coolpad with your laptop when u game because gaming generates excess heat and that's bad for some laptops

I agree with shadi, first decide whether you want windows, apple or linux. If I were you, I'd go for windows if it is not for very specific usage.

On http://www.clevly.com I compared all brands that people mentioned so far based on what percentage of people on social media are positive about the brand. Here are the results:
1. Asus (82%)
2. Dell (81%)
3/4. Lenovo / Sony (80%)
5. LG (78%)
6. HP (72%)

All of them are pretty close, so if I were you I would not go for hp, all the others score very similar.
Good luck with your choice!
