Facebook - Awaiting Friend Confirmation?

Okay so I sent a request to someone on Facebook almost a week ago I'm guessing and it still says awaiting friend confirmation. And I'm pretty sure he's been on because his friends count increased. Did this person deny my request or did he just not get the request? And this guy was on a show and has a couple thousand friends so I thought he would accept pretty much anyone.

And maybe he has tons of requests and just hasn't gotten through all of them yet.

Hes probably getting so many request per day he only has time to accept a few. Don't worry it takes people awhile to reply. Im sure you will have a new facebook friend by at least a week

Well.he may have got the request...but when a friend request comes...there is an option for the receiver that he can either confirm that request or hit "not know" option....with which he can confirm it later..by going on the sender's profile....the sender wouldn't know about what happened to his request...........
