Why arent i getting notifications for comments on facebook?

I havent been getting notifications on comments lately. I checked my Settings and its all right, all the things i wanted are checked, yet, for some reason, im still not getting the notifications. Ive checked the help site on facebook but i havent gotten much help. What can i do??!

if you are sure that you have checked settings by going to
Account>Account settings>Notifications
it must be a bug of FB (some people can't chat, some can't message... etc)

OR check whether the notification is there and is hidden, by clicking the globe icon (notifications icon)

Go to Accounts> Accounts Settings> Notifications and check what you want and select yours
