Why do unknown people add me on Facebook?

Like last time someone from Portugal added me and an other time someone from Taiwan did? What the hell they had no mutual friends and they only had like 5 friends. I noticed they created their account a few hours before. It is still weird that they found me as one of their first friends, is something wrong with my private settings, how do I stop this?

Reset your privacy settings so only your friends and family can see your page. There are a lot of people out there who will try and friend you for ulterior motives. Unfriend them.

They Probably Want to Be Friends With you on Facebook or They May Find You Cute Or They May Have Found you From a Another Profile or Something You Dont Have to Be Friends With Them Dont Approve the Request and Mark Down That you Dont Know Them and They Wont Be Able to Send you Anymore Friend Requests

It's probably someone who knows you,with fake accounts, trying to spy on you.
