Was this the right thing to do?
One of my friends (k) has been bragging at college that he's going to get drunk on saturday which is today. And i saw someone else on facebook posting about them being pissed. So i was talking to k on facebook and the following conversation happened:

Me: damn, someone posted that their pissed. You know it's really stupid to get drunk on purpose it's bad for you.

K: i know right?

Me: And you're getting drunk today?

K: yep

Me: wow...

K: ok.....

Me: well have fun poisoning your body and having a hangover, really worth it.

This led to the next ten minutes of use messaging each other. All of his messages had swear words in then while mine were just saying stuff like "well you were bragging" and "you're the kne swearing you're immature".

So basically after ten mins he deletes me, blocks me, and says never speak to him again.

Do you think what i said was right? I think he deserved what he got =/.

In a way i feel happy now, i don't want friends like him because hes immature.

I didn't swear at him at all

You expressed your opinion to him. You should have left it at that instead of trying to pound your beliefs into him. It's his body and his life. He can do what he chooses to do. You can comment on it and maybe make make suggestions as a friend but that's it. I think you crossed the line and I don't blame him for deleting you. I have to question your maturity.
