and ouch. Try getting a fb. It'll help staying in touch with people. Look for garage sales that have bikes. You can sometimes get a perfectly good one for really cheap. Get a helmet. Now you must have something. A job? School? Something. If not, go to your local coffee shops or cafes. Usually they have a bulletin board full of community activities. Try joining one or two. That will at least get you known. You're probably going to have a lot of semi-friends for a while before you slowly wiggle into the right group. Invite everyone you meet over for dinner parties. Pot lucks, even! Join races and classes and clubs. Go to your neighbors houses and invite them over too. I suggest having some "conversation starter" cards ready. You can even buy different themed decks. They have questions like "Where did you get all of your scars?" and "What is the best and worst thing being where you are in the birth order?" Also a game called Quelf. It just has random cards that kind of make everyone act like a fool. It's all good fun though. "Put a shoe on your head and stand up and sit down 5 times to advance 3 spaces." things like that. They're stupid but you feel comfortable really quickly because everyones acting like an idiot. Good luck!! |

I do agree with Dancer's advice. That being said, feel free to email me. I am always up for a good conversation. michewoof@yahoo.com
