Does anyone have any ideas for marketing a children's app on the cheap?
I have released a children's spelling app 3 weeks ago. When it was released, I worked really hard to email people that I knew, get the word out on all social media platforms and I filled in app review submission forms and emails galore. I contacted my local paper, as I am a teacher, and they featured an article about the app which worked well to push sales. I have found that sales have dropped drastically to 1/2 sales per day which is nothing! I am wondering if anyone has any good advice from experience about things that have worked for them.
Thing I have in the pipeline are, posters put up around the city in places where mothers and children will congregate, a banner for the back window of my car and paid advertising on facebook. Any help would be much appreciated as I am on a tight budget and cannot afford a big advert anywhere. Ads |

You have a better chance with online marketing.
1) Find education related forums, and participate the discussions with your signature links to your app. 2) Build a Facebook fan page and grow the fan base with interesting content. 3) Guest blogging for related sites to show the value of your app. Offline marketing works better for car wash, cleaning type of business. Your audience are online. Ads |
