social science at csusm? what can i do with this degree ? i want a job where i can help peole with their problems like a social worker

There are places needing a social science-type person. A few ideas:
a. Police divisions such as homicide, sexual crimes, crimes against children, etc. often have a liaison on staff to help out victims and encourage communication with police. Also, many places in legal and court systems have a victim's advocate there to help.
b. A great job you'd qualify for is a probation or parole officer. And because you'd work for the city or county, there would be good benefits. Those people usually have to come see you in person once or twice a month. How great would it be to help them out and possibly turn their life around?
c. You could get a teaching certificate and teach social studies and other similar classes.
d. Corporations often hire people who know about demographics and the social habits of different groups of people to help them advertise and market efficiently.
e. You could go on to get a master's and become a therapist. Even if you have to take out a loan, you could easily pay it back once you start work.
f. Nursing homes and rehabilitation centers often have someone like this on staff to help and advise on a wide variety of issues.
