why is there a sun icon behind the facebook icon on the yahoo toolbar?

suddenly this morning a VERY STUPID looking icon that looked like a sun appeared behind my facebook icon on my yahoo toolbar, before all I had to do was click on it and it took me right to my facebook log in page and let me log in, now a STUPID box popped up saying it was 'yahoo toolbar for facebook" asking me to grant it permission to post things on my behalf, post news stories on my behalf, etc, if I clicked skip it, it refused to let me log in. I don't know where this came from but I want it removed! If it's some idea yahoo came up with, get rid of it or tell me how to remove it, if I have to remove thge stupid yahoo toolbar to get rid of it, I will. If I want to post ANYTHING to MY facebook, I'll do it MYSELF, I DO NOT YAHOO'S HELP!
no, it does NOT notify me about facebook notifications, it BLOCKED me from accessing facebook period! It was not there yesterday nor is it on my older computer running windows vista. Here's a thought, why not leave things alone? If they ain't broke, DO NOT FIX THEM! If I want to post something on facebook, I can do it myself WITHOUT yahoo's help. The sun icon has NOTHING to do with notifications in facebook, when I finally got logged in, there was NO updates or notifications ANYWHERE, whatever this is, it's nothing but a pest that wasn't needed nor wanted, yahoo toolbar and facebook are NOT one and the same, they do NOT need to be "connected", if I want to share something on facebook, I'll do it myself, I don't need or want yahoo's help. All yahoo toolbar needs to do for me is to sit there with my links to pages like facebook and ebay on it and when I click on them, let me log in like I have before, NOT block me from accessing them.

You can right click and disable the yahoo toolbar!!
or you can uninstall it using "add and remove programs"!!
