What kind of laptop should I get?? 10 points!!?
I'm looking for something under $400. Definitely nothing over 500. But let's not price be an issue right now. It doesn't need to be lightning fast, medium speed will do. I'll be using it for editing both videos, songs and pictures, mostly the last two. It won't need to hold more than about 200 songs, probably less. Other uses will be storing my webcomic pages, surfing the internet, watching movies, writing essays and social media. I probably won't have more than 10 programs installed onto my computer, 15 at most. I won't need to transport it often so it doesn't need to be ultra light. Also, I wouldn't want a netbook or anything with a screen smaller than 12 in. I'll primarily use earphones on it so the speakers don't need to be loud. I've only had Windows computers, but I've used an older Mac for a few months but thy're wicked expensive. I've yet to try windows 8 but I prefer how 7 looks.
-How much space should I get? -What type of computer? -Any specific models? -You don't need to provide the price or links to specific websites like Best Buy. -Please keep it under 500!! -Also, my mom said Chromebooks are bad, anyone have experience with them?? I live in the US. The videos won't be more than 10 minutes each and not frequently. About medium quality. Ads |

You don't want a chrome book for your needs.
The only concern I see is your requirement to edit video. Will this be lengthy high resolution video, or short low-res stuff? If the former, you'll want as good a processor as you can get with as much RAM (memory) as possible. None of your other requirements are particularly demanding. |

Chromebooks aren't "bad" but they are limited in some aspects. Video and Audio editing is possible, but not great.
