How can i get apps to show up on facebook page?

Used to when I would log on to my facebook page it would show how many things were sent to me beside the home tab. It would show the numbers of how many apps and new friends were sent to me. Now it doesn't. How can I get it to show that again? I hope that I explained this well enough for you to understand what I mean.
thank you...but what i am meaning is ....beside the home tab it would show a number..when you clicked on home tab it would show all the notifications that were sent to you. Then when you clicked on that a list of people would come up showing you what apps they just sent to you asking if you approved or ignore it...
now i have to click on the little notification sign at the bottom where as i didn't have to before

Facebook has had a revamp which moves all your apps to a tab called "Boxes" - that's where they are all based now!
