Sorry, but Facebook has forced us all to have the timeline, and once you get it, there's no switching back.

Honestly, I hated the timeline at first, but now that I've gotten used to it, it's not too bad.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

You can't sadly, I hate the timeline too, but nothing will work.
Unfortunately we also have people who "claim" that they can get rid of your timeline if you download something, or like something. Just don't believe it.
Your best bet is to either wait for something by the original face book creator, or make a new face book but don't play any games, such as farm ville, castle ville, or any games. And don't like random pages.
