how to get privacy on facebook?
I've never used facebook, so forgive me if the answers are obvious and I'm just being thick!!

Is there a way to set your profile up so that different groups of people can't see each other? I don't want my family to see who I have added as friends, and don;t want all my friends to see each other either! I know they can't view each others posts, but I don't actually want them to know who else has been added to my friends list (I'm dealing with an ex husband and a circle of friends that some are shared, some aren't and I don't want him or some of my other family knowing who I have added/seeing their info) Also, is there a way so if someone tags me in pictures that I can choose who sees those pics? When my son goes on his facebook, there is always a list of 'other people you might like to add' or 'people you have in common' - I don't want my friends to appear on this to each other via my profile because I have added them, how do I make it private and secure?

Really want to get on facebook, but want to be able to keep things separate and don't know if its possible!

The only way to keep complete privacy on facebook is to never make an account.

What I really hate about face book is their "News Feed" in News Feed. ALL your face book friends and family can see every single post you ever make on face book. Because every single recent post you make on face book will be shown on News Feed where the whole world can see it! weather you want your post to be there or not! it makes me so freaking mad!!! I mean really! where is the privacy button?! this is why I never use Face book anymore either!

Facebook is not for the privacy minded.

I agree with Serleena,

"News Feed" on Face Book is just another fancy word for "We Don't Want To Give You Any Privacy Or Rights!"
