Twitter is an incredibly lame site where, if you are a Twitter whore, you update your fake status every second, or whenever you do something else, like taking a different breathe than the one a second ago. There is absolutely no purpose to the site. It is stupid.

It also has nothing to do with Languages. Though it does have something to do with Society and Culture, because it takes away from peoples' social lives.

A site like myspace, except that it only has a "status box" on there and it's specially designed for people with no life that update or tell what they're doing every freaking second.

give thumbs down whatever, but you have to admit it is freaking LAME!

It's a Micro-Blogging platform - completely unlike Facebook.

You get 140 characters to share your thoughts. It's the quickest growing social network online right now and you can choose to follow other people and see what they're up to, or post yourself and others can choose to follow you.

I've met lots of new friends on Twitter, many of which I've met in person now. I've got new business from people on Twitter and when I post about something new on my blog or website - lots of my followers come and check it out, so it's great for getting traffic to your sites too.

You can also post links, so although I don't do it often, I've sold a lot of stuff on Twitter too.

It's a great way to meet new interesting people and find people online that you never would have anywhere else.

You can follow me just by joining (it's all free) and finding my profile (twitter.com/andyhenry) and selecting follow.

There are rumours that Twitter will start adding features which they'll charge businesses to use, but right now everything is free.

Andy

Twitter is a website in which you get to post up short status messages mainly about what you're doing. This is a useful tool so that your friends can find out what you're up to and stay updated. It's a great social networking site. You should go check it out for yourself.

I hope that helps!

On Facebook and Myspace there is a section where you can say what you are doing. Twitter is a whole program dedicated to this. Many qenuine celebs have Twitter and update very frequently so this is kinda cool! On Twitter you just post little things that you are doing eg. Going some where or doing household chores. I have found that this video helps;

At first you may think that Twitter is boring and rubbish but as you build up followers (people who you follow that tweet) it gets more and more intresting and you finally get the hang of Twitter. It can get very, very addictive after a while!

Hope this helps and if you need any help you can always follow me;
