Facebook Timeline Troubles?

I have done nearly everything imaginable in trying to change my facebook over to a timeline feature
On facebook.com/about/timeline there is supposed to be a link there but it does not appear.
Then there is the way of making some Developer thing but I do not understand it at all. Someone please help me

if you dont see the button, that means you have to wait for it
no one has figured out yet why some people dont have it....

I got mine from that page about 3 weeks ago. I just went to it again and didn't see an option for it, but then I already have it. Just in case, the Timeline is on your profile page not the Newsfeed.
